Resources for Providers and Educators

The Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council promotes quality services and supports for young children and families in our community. We recognize that the providers of these services and supports must be engaged in continuous quality improvement, obtained through life-long learning. As adult learners, we gain our expertise from a variety of sources. Through our collaboration work, the ACECC is dedicated to ensuring professional and workforce development opportunities that will lead to high quality outcomes for young children and families.

CCAP Provider Policy

Provider Colorado Child Care Assistance Program – CCAP Provider Policy

The provider policy was created to be used as an agreement between CCAP providers and families, making clear the rights and responsibilities of both parties.  This sample policy is just a general outline of what providers can put in their own contract.  All of the ideas in this policy are general, and providers can use it as an outline and cater it to the specific needs of their center/home and the families they serve. If any items are added to the contract, contact the child care navigator or Arapahoe County DHS to ensure they are within the County CCAP rules.  All of the ideas in this policy are a collaboration of providers, Arapahoe County Child Care Assistance employees and the Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council.

The child care navigator also offers support for providers working with the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP). The navigator provides training, as well as one on one technical support, on the Point of Service (POS) machine. She is available to assist with swipe issues, help understanding rules around how to implement CCCAP, and to advocate on behalf of providers with families and Arapahoe County DHS. Providers can contact the navigator anytime if they have questions or comments about the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program.
